Notes: After almost 10 years of playing together, Art, Craig, and Greg played for the last time together as ‘Everclear” on August 30, 2003 in Alaska. There had been tensions between all three members, but problems escalated during the Slow Motion Daydream tour. Both Craig and Greg had wanted to do something different musically for a while.
Craig had been writing songs since 2002 and wanting to do something more bombastic and rocking. He started up ‘Tri Polar’ in 2004. Greg joined his brother and vocalist Olle Tomale as ‘The Oohlas’ around the same time.
The new lineup of Everclear played their first show in the summer of 2004. This would be the first studio recording of the ‘New’ Everclear.
Lars also added, “I recorded it, it was in a studio Art and I shared, called Blackjack. It is in the basement of Kung Fu Bakery, where we recorded SMD. It has all the new guys on it, including Josh. It took about 2 hours [to record].” (61)
Brett Snyder would replace Bretl on the drums while Everclear toured during the Summer of 2004.
